np: PCD - wait a minute
ok my com has been wonky all day...i'm not sure why. it'll suddenly hang and just conk out. i've restarted it like 10 times. creepy. anyway, today was a busy day. went to school for the health and safety talk in the morning to find out where the school clinic was. basket it's not in campus la, its like 2 streets away. its near the supermarket which i went to check out yesterday. i GUZZLE milk i tell you. i buy it one day and 3 days later its gone.
ya anyway, back on track, health and safety talk. there were reps from the clinic, insurance company, counselling service, student union and get this, the POLICE...ya they actually sent a senior constable(or some weird rank like that) over to talk to us. and there was this QnA where you could write your question anonymously on a piece of paper and submit it to any presenter...and somebody asked the cop: "IS MARIJUANA ILLEGAL?" all together now:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
i cant believe he asked a POLICEMAN that...the cop was so funny. this was his answer:
"Um, yes marijuana, like other drugs is illegal...if you're caught with a small amount, and its your first time....then we may let you off with a caution....(pause while the cop considers that this statement basically sounds like a go ahead)....but it's illegal. i mean...don't do it. if you're caught with more than a certain amount, you face charges and jail time..."
it was really so funny...the cop KNOWS so many ppl on campus do it and 1 eye is closed towards it and he cant do anything about it, but he has to lay down the rules anyway. then somebody else asked him whether it was legal to drink in parks...it's not, in case you were wondering.
new knowledge that i aquired yesterday. washing clothes in your toilet is BASTARD BACK BREAKING WORK! cotton doubles its weight the MOMENT it gets wet. i had to bring my computer chair to the toilet so i could sit down. thats how much my back was complaining. i dunno how my mother managed to wash QUILTS by hand. new respect for that woman i tell you.
today i took the train to chadstone, which is basically the vivocity of melbourne. fricking huge shopping centre. the trainride was so nice. its not like mrt when you just zoom overhead b/w stations and dont see shit. this one is actually an on the ground...proper seats...passing thru towns kinda ride.and guess what i passed? this will make aga happy. i passed MELBOURNE PARK! rod laver arena and vodafone arena where all the huge australian open games are played. ok seriously i nearly hyperventilated...i was digging thru my bag for my phone to take a pic but i couldnt get it fast enough.to think i was like 800m away from where andy roddick and marat safin were standing...HAHA i sound mad...probably looked mad on the train too but who cares.
so shopping lunch shopping shopping coffee....fast forward 3 hours and it was time to leave cos my sis had some orientation shit going on in her dorm. so i took the train back...got off at flinders street station which is almost as pretty as Grand Central in Manhattan and New Haven in Connecticut...and that's saying something.
decided that since it was a nice day, not too hot, and with a little wind, that i would walk over to melbourne central and take the tram home from there, giving me a chance to explore swanston street (one of the main streets in the city) a bit. so i was walking walking walking and suddenly this sign "DIRT CHEAP CDs"
my mind screamed "DETOUR" and i practically jumped thru the door. the owner of the store looked like a rapist/druggie/serial killer but his shop was fricking cool la. they had old music, new music, dvds, tv series....everything...and everything under 20 bucks ok....CDs were TEN BUCKS!! for new stuff too. so i grabbed 'parachutes' by coldplay, an album that i have always wanted to listen too, but never had the money(20 bucks for a CD never seemed worth it) or time to download it. so i got it...and its a nice album. pretty darn nice.
so armed with my 2 tees from chadstone, and my CD from the shop, i walked further on to Victoria State Library, which is a really pretty building that i've been wanting to go into since i first saw it. bloody hell it was damn damn boring inside la...i couldnt find a fiction section. apparently its not the national library i'm used to.
ok just heard on the radio that PINK is coming to melbourne. as are fall out boy, john mayer, and the dave matthews band. if i had money i would SO go for john mayer. that guy is KING of emo guitar music.
i wanna go watch a Melbourne Victory game. they're the local football team here and they just won the Australian league.big celebration party in the city today...i practically ran to the train station to avoid the crowds. anyway, they play at telstra dome, a stadium i've wanted to see since the rugby world cup in 2003.
in other news. britney spears shaved her head.........OMGGGGGG what is she up to ah? she's really gone round the bend.
ok this radio station 101.9 is pretty darn cool. the morning show is hilarious. one of the guys bet how long lindsay lohan wld be in rehab for. he lost and now he has to wear a skirt for the rest of the week. heehee. they're really naughty and funny la. anyway, i'm off. i wanna give my com a break, or it might explode.

EH EH EH can you find out how much john mayer is! then we'll SAVE UP AND GO OKAY! and when! and remember, aussies dont say chadstone, its chaddy! like football is footie etc etc. :D
